Something that's been bothering me lately

Have any of you guys ever been invited to one of those "anti-brony" groups?  You know, those groups that contain MLPFiM fanart yet it's a group that is 'against rabid bronies'?  Cuz I've been invited to several of those groups in the past few months, and although I am not an 'insane brony', I really am displeased with this.

For one thing, the groups are blatantly bogus.  They have names like "Anti MLP" or something which makes it sound like it's against the actual franchise, but they say that they're only against bronies.  And then I tell them that I AM a brony so why are they inviting me and then they're like "Well we're only against the rabid fans, not the good ones."  Um.......yeah, ok.  You're only against the rabid fans.  Well then why does the page say that it's an "anti-brony" group specifically?  The people who make these groups are so unprofessional, they don't even think about that when they're setting the home page up!  The other day I got invited to a group (which I forget the name of) and on their page right under the group name it said something along the lines of "Love ponies, hate bronies" or something like that, and then it had some rules saying things like "This is not a group to hate on ponies, only bronies" and stuff like that.  I told them I'm not letting any of my works get featured to a hate group and they told me it's not a hate group.  This is the kind of thing I'm talking about.  

Now in the past I have made pics like this rather memorable comic but believe me when I say I had no intentions of coming across as hateful to anyone.  True, I don't agree with what some bronies do, but I'm not a hater.  I was new to the fandom back then and just wanted to get my feelings across in a somewhat funny way.  But that image is one of the many that gets requested to be featured in these groups.  I did not allow it to be featured in ANY of them.  Those groups promise that they're only there to have 'non-hateful' fanart, but the whole group rules and description just screams "WE HATE BAD BRONIES, LET'S HOUSE SOME HATE-ART ABOUT THEM AND START A REVOLUTION!!!"  And they think that just because I'm a brony who doesn't enjoy porn or clopfics or something, that I should join there.  I may not be a pervert and may be against the things those sick-minded bronies do, but I don't want to be a hater, it's just not right.

I don't like all this hate that some people are spreading.  If you don't agree with the person, don't watch or even talk to them, just leave them be and deal with it!  The more you hate on them, the more attention you'll only give them and the more you'll just make yourself look like a fool.  The people who make these groups call themselves 'bronies' and yet they hate on the perverted bronies, yet they've forgotten that the number one thing a true brony should do is love and tolerate.  As a Christian man, I prefer to pray for people who have such sick minds, not hate on them.  God has called us to love, not judge or hate on people, and that is what I aim to do.

Guys, don't join such groups, please.  If it is how I just described it, at all costs, avoid these groups!  Now I have seen some groups out there which collect 'clean' MLPFiM fanart and they make it very clear on their page that they don't hate on any perverted bronies, they just want to make a group that is safe for all users by not allowing mature works.  Those are good groups, as long as they make it very clear that they still love and tolerate.  And for anyone out there who watches me and thinks I should join the 'anti-perverted-brony' uprising, you can forget it cuz I refuse to be a hater.  

In conclusion, let's not forget to love and tolerate, okay?  I am quite disgusted with some things I've seen in this fandom, but I just gotta hold my electronic tongue and not say a word and just erase the image from my mind.  Besides, with all the wholesome things I've seen in this fandom, I know there is still hope for us bronies.  I would love to be able to tell everyone how we have to try to be more careful with the bad fanart we make, but that's not what this journal is about.  I just ask that no one be hateful to the bad bronies, just love them.
