Something I've thought heavily about...

I'm sure most of you brony friends of mine are aware that the fandom is exploding in tons of huge creative projects going on all at once.  And I'm not just talking about "Double Rainboom", there's another one called "Journey of the Spark" which is said to be over 2 hours long.  Basically a fan film.  A FILM!  Can you guys believe that?  Just barely 2 years and already a group of fans are making their own film in honor of the show!!  If you are interested, here's a WIP video of some of the project: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iirick…

Now the reason I'm making this journal entry is because to be quite honest...........well, I want in on the action.  And by that I mean I'd like to get involved with one of these projects.  Right now the main priority is finishing this last semester of college but after that I should have some free time so perhaps I could help out.  But more specifically, I don't wanna just help with the concept art or help animate or whatever, I feel like I should start a project of my own.  I have TONS of ideas for animations, both short and long.  Right now most of you are very much aware of my "Age of the Alicorns: Chaos Rising" fanfiction which is just getting started.  And I am very much excited for this story to be written and, God-willing, very well-received, but I almost get the feeling that writing some things out isn't quite enough.  I'm a decent writer, true, but I sometimes feel I'm more of an idea-maker.  More like a person who makes an idea for a film or a game or comic or something and then get a team of people to come together and help me make it a reality rather than a simple novelist.  Call me crazy but I almost want to make Chaos Rising into an animated film.  The way I am seeing it right now, it has that potential.  Once most of you are done reading it, you may agree but unfortunately, yes, this is a somewhat crazy idea and will take loads of work to accomplish and may be near impossible considering I will only be earning a degree in motion graphics and lack certain education like storyboarding and advanced animation and whatnot.  But please be reminded this is only a vision I have right now...

So if you can understand where I'm coming from, tell me, what do you guys think?  Do you think I have that potential?  I may not be the best fanfic writer out there but what if that's not what I think I'm trying to do?  Not trying to write a fanfic but a script for a movie?  Do you see this sort of thing happening with me?  Let me know in the comments below...
