Pokemon Go fever!

As I mentioned in my last journal, yes, I once again joined the popular bandwagon:  Pokemon Go.  Totally worth it!

It feels awesome to have a Pokemon game that actually kinda gives you the experience in a more realistic way by making you get up and walk around and explore in order to actually catch Pokemon or find a Pokestop or something.  Heck, some Pokemon are exclusive only to certain continents!  It is great that we can finally brag about playing a popular video game that can make you lose some weight and actually get outside!  Even better is that it does seem to be bringing people together!  

Well for anyone wondering how I've been doing:  I am on Team Mystic and I am at level 9 right now.  I've had the game for over a week but I'm not very far in it cuz I live in quite an inactive area.  There are no pokestops where I live but there are some churches further out that have some stops.  Pokemon don't really come to my house at all unless I am using incense and I am currently out of it at the moment.  I've been able to hatch a few eggs but so far the only interesting things I've gotten was a decent Squirtle and female Nidoran.  I have two 2k eggs that are ready to hatch in .4 kilometers but it will probably be nothing interesting.  I walked to hatch the former two today and it appears Pokemon only like to appear near these 2 cemeteries that I live right between.  There was an oddish at one and I was trying to get it since I don't have an Oddish yet but he would not come out.  Only other thing was a male Nidoran and a Goldeen, both of which I already have but at this rate, I'd be lucky to see just about anything to catch it and gain some XP.  My best Pokemon at the moment is a Golbat I found at FillyCon that has CP of 464.  I have a bunch of Zubats and Nidorans that are ready to evolve but I already know about the Lucky Egg trick and I am going to use mine when I have a few more Pokemon that are ready to evolve some time down the road.

I'm going to try driving out to some nearby towns some time and walking around to see if there is anything that might help me like some pokestops cuz there is basically nothing to do where I live except hatch eggs and look around for just a few little Pokemon creeping around in the graveyards.

Well for anyone who has played this game long enough, do you guys have any advice for a newbie like me?  I am looking up some YouTube videos that give some advice but feel free to give me some in the comments below.  

Also, to future commissioners:  if you guys are not in the mood for something pony-related, something Pokemon-related would be great cuz I feel like drawing Pokemon now!  XD

UPDATE:  Yesterday I caught my first Ghastly and Jigglypuff while on break at work!  Looks like my hometown has plenty of stops and a few gyms.  I'm going to drive in today to see what I can get done.
