My pinups.....are they acceptable?

Well guys, I've wanted to make a journal like this for a while, I just never really had the time or felt it was necessary, but it's just something I kinda wanted to talk about so I'll do it now.

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone out there who likes my sexy human pinups and gives positive comments and favorites them and so on.  And also to those of you who dont' necessarily like them but still don't judge me for making them, thank you as well.  You guys are awesome for that.  

Now I know I have gotten some hateful comments about my pinups in the past, mainly through outer sources like Derpibooru, but I do my best to not let hate get to me so don't ever worry if I am getting hate.  Every now and then though I do get some more concerned comments about my pinups.  Not hateful ones, just people who are disappointed that I'm drawing sexy stuff now.

I have made it a point many times that I don't like graphic art and try my best to keep my pinups softcore, but I will admit, there have been times I've been disappointed to know one of my favorite artists draws stuff I don't agree with and sometimes I wonder if some of my own watchers may feel the exact same way about me when they see my pinups.  Sometimes I could really be no different.

I won't mention any names, but a certain friend of mine recently showed concern and anger about my pinups and I do sometimes wonder if a lot of my other watchers feel the same way.  I know I know, I shouldn't let others tell me what to do and it's a free internet and I can draw whatever the heck I feel like drawing, but I really don't want to take it too far.  I still don't like explicit art and I sure as heck dont' want to disappoint too many of my loyal followers, but I wonder if sometimes the pinups I do draw now have already disappointed enough people.  Now if there is anyone out there who is very resentful towards me for drawing pinups and they come to me and rant about how they hate it and that they are unwatching me, quite frankly I don't care if I lose a watcher with that kind of attitude.  I don't want to be watched by people who are that judgmental anyway so it's really no loss in the end.  It does, however, worry me when a trustworthy person who looks up to me and has been a good friend shows concern about it.

Know that I do NOT want to take it too far with my pinups like I've said before.  I mean I haven't drawn anything ridiculously graphic like a hentai image, my pinups just tend to get pretty saucy and suggestive at times.

other times they have "bedroom eyes" and can be saucy enough to warrant a mature content filter but still have somewhat of an artistic beauty to it like this pic of Rarity:



and then other times it's a lot more forgiveable cuz it's just some pic of hot chicks on a beach in bikinis which is something we see all the time when we go on vacation anyhow:



Those are just a few examples of my pinups.  With all the sexy art we see on DA, I think most of you guys are used to this by now and can admit that my stuff is quite innocent compared to others.  I know there could be younger viewers on here who shouldn't be subjected to that, but keep in mind that no one under 13 should be on this site to begin with.  That's not just a suggestion, it's a rule.

Now, me personally, I dunno if I'd even allow my kids online at that age, but at age 13, that is kinda the age when kids may start running into suggestive content.  I mean my father gave me "the talk" when I was 11 and my bro was 9 and I'd seen plenty of girls in bikinis at the beach when I was a young teen, I'm quite sure I'm not the only one.

However, I'm NOT saying that parents should allow their kids to view porn on the internet or even some mild stuff like my own art just because they "are going to learn about it eventually anyway".  Heck, I would advise them not to.  When parents are strict about their kids browsing the web, that's good parenting and I can understand if a lot of parents would not want their kids viewing my profile even.  Kids do reach a certain age and maturity level though that if they see it they will either not want to view it cuz they aren't into that kind of thing, or they are smart enough to not learn bad things from viewing it.  Not every person who views saucy fanart on the web is going to grow up to become a rapist or a pedophile or something, especially if it's done in a tasteful way like mine is.

A lot of my critics would make the claim that I'm a "clopper" now or am on the road to becoming a porn artist or whatever, but that's because most of these folks are haters and uneducated trolls who don't know what they are talking about and don't know me well enough to begin with.  Then of course there are the people who might argue that the pics I draw are "sexist" but I have another whole journal that discusses my views on that claim.

So for anyone who does happen to be worried about my future as an artist just because I am making sexualized drawings of human females, trust me you don't have to worry.  I'm not doing this to spite anyone, I'm doing this cuz I want to and it feels good to be opening up to something kinda new even if it is "what the cool kids are doing" on this site nowadays.  It's not for the views necessarily, heck I think a lot of people may have unwatched me because of them but that hasn't stopped me.  I dont' want to lose my audience but I dont' worry about that cuz I am STILL drawing ponies.  I actually have been drawing some actual pony fanart for the last few days, I just haven't uploaded it cuz it's a larger piece that is still being worked on.  Also, I have been working on "Age of the Alicorns" too, but I've been redoing the story summary so I am more prepared for writing newer chapters.  You'll hear more from that over time.

So yeah, I think I'm kinda starting to ramble and this journal is getting too wordy and disorganized.  But again, I'm not trying to hurt anyone with my pinups, I'm just doing it for fun and I do hope I get a lot better soon and can draw human anatomy a lot more accurately soon.

But what do you guys think?  Do you like my pinups a lot and want to see more or are you just meh about them and would prefer the other stuff that isn't sexual in nature?  If you don't like my pinups that's fine and I won't judge you.  You can be honest, just don't be hateful.  That's how it's done in the brony fandom.
