Twilight vector WIP?

It says WIP? because I'm not sure if I'm done just yet, still iffy about a few little things. I ended up having to cheat and edit this a bit in Paint.net because I couldn't figure out how to do gradients in Illustrator and there was no one there for me to ask how. I also had to select her eyes and cut them and put them in a different layer so I could move them around without them going over her nosebridge. The reason that happened to begin with was because I dunno if you can even put the eyes under what would be the face if you can't make holes in the face for where the eye would be. I just made the eye layer on top of the head but since it was on top and not a hole, when I'd move the iris, it wouldn't move around under the edges of the eye where the purple starts because it's placed on top of that layer. I dunno if anyone can understand a word I just said, but if you know Illustrator PLEEEEEEEASE, PLEASE HELP MEEEEEE!! *Beatles voice*

But yeah, enough of my complaining. This turned out really well for my first vector of a pony I would say! Now that I know how to cause lines to taper (get sharper) at the ends, that helps me to make them more calligraphic-looking rather than like how I make them look in Paint. There are issues sometimes when I can fill in a body part with color, but some spaces are open since they might not weave together just right, so I just take the paint blob tool to fill it in and group them together. You can't even tell where I've done that so it doesn't really hurt. I was having a hard time figuring out how I would do the pink and purple stripes in her hair without them going over the outlines of it, but I just took a copy of the tail, placed it above the stripes, and turned the color fill off in the copy so the lines would go over the stripes and no color fill would cover them. Easy as pie! That didn't work too well with the stripes next to her horn though, I had to just really easily put the purple strip right on top of the outlines of her top mane. I know the stripes should be on her left side of her horn and the crack is on her right side of her bangs, but sometimes her sprite gets switched around in the show during animation, just like Rarity's hair is flipped to one side and then the next thing you know it's flipped to the other.

Twilight sure was a lot easier than Discord, that's for sure! Discord's lion arm was just Hell to get everything to go together!!! So yeah, I hope I can do more of these, it will be tough to fit in going to the lab with my schedule. Let's hope I can get all the mane 6 done at least!
