The Spirit Guides

Well, it sure has been a freaking long time since I last uploaded one of these pics! Don't worry, I'm still working on Age of the Alicorns: Chaos Rising, it's just that a lot of other fandom-related things have come up along with real-world problems like finding a job and commissions and stuff.

Anyways, here are 2 brand new and original characters that will appear in the story at some point.

Below is a brief description of the character:

Uh oh. Things don't seem to be going so well for Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. They've tried their hardest with their diplomacy classes but cannot seem to make peace with the griffons or practically anyone else they negotiate with. At this rate, they may never become proper royal leaders to replace the king and queen one day! But not all hope is lost...

In come the spirit guides! The sun-shaped one is Celestia's guide while the moon is Luna's. They may look childish and too full of energy, but these little ectoplasmic entities are said to have all sorts of knowledge to pass on to the princesses involving ruling a country and being the most powerful and well respected leaders of the land. According to them, they helped out many ancient rulers from olden times and have been doing so since before Equestria even became a country. Besides their vast knowledge, they also contain magical abilities and can disappear and reappear at their own will though they prefer to give advice rather than put their powers to use like the ponies are supposed to. Celestia and Luna listen to their spirit guides with hopes that they too can be as great as the leaders of old and solve these diplomatic issues with General Leogle, the self-proclaimed 'lord' of the griffons. There is just one minor issue about the guides: no one has ever told the princesses about them and not even the King and Queen know they exist.

So who exactly are these beings? Do they really know about leadership skills and have experience with guiding other leaders of the past or are they phonies trying to prove themselves? Just who's side are they on and do they actually plan to overthrow the princesses in secret? Or perhaps they aren't really guides, just cunning little tricksters looking to have some fun? All will be revealed in time.

So yeah, those are Celestia and Luna's spirit Guides. They were fun to design and I love how comical they turned out. :3 I also had a lot of fun with the sun and moon effects as you can see.
