Styling Rarity by AleximusPrime Styling Rarity by AleximusPrime
The steps were kinda simple, I just ran her hair under water and then wrapped it around her legs to give it the curl using a rubber band to keep them on and then the result was as shown in the third panel. Not exactly how I had planned, but it looks better now. She was actually still wet in the last one but I didn't wanna wait.

So here you guys go. I figured I'd have a little fun with her hair before I stick her in the oven and give her the sculpted hair. Her hair is actually ready, I'll show a pic of it.

And remember, I am NO expert at this, in fact I probably wasn't doing it right so consult another collector on how to properly style a pony mane.

Tell her that they go in for 15 minutes at 275 degrees Fahrenheit and that does NOT melt them, it just makes them really soft and flimsy so they need time to cool.

All I used was a straw, a can of hairspray, and a few hours. It's all you need, ans very simple. It came out a lot like the show!

I need to try that method. I want to make the Mane 6 look close to who they are in the show. Fluttershy is good as she is. The others are a pain.

Too bad you don't know how to customize them. They look so much better with their hair show accurate!

Yeah, but I can't. Do you use clay for your mane sculptures?

Yeah, oven-bake clay. And I bake the ponies with them on cuz they don't melt at the temperature and time I put them in for.

Hey, it's ok dude :) I guess I just would've done what I said I would because I'm a girl with long hair and have experience styling my own hair (and occasionally other people's). You could always redo it. It looks really good for a hair-styling newbie :D

Speaking of which, where'd you find your Rarity toy?

Yeah, see, when you talked about "sculpted hair", I thought you were talking about applying some sort of hair gel or something so that you could "sculpt" the hair into the proper style.
