In the words of Jesus, " IT IS FINISHED!!!" :faint:

Sheesh, like 3 months almost! Well it was more like 1 month in total but I only was able to work on it during weekends cuz I had college and couldn't bring it with me.

Since this was completely hand-crafted by me, I can't give much of a tutorial but I'll say this much:

I just made all his body parts one by one first. Started out with the legs, horn, body, arm, head, beard, eyebrows.......all separate but I started sculpting his lion arm on the body. To put everything together I just stuck them together with superglue and then let it dry and covered the connection point with some more sculpt and let that dry. The tail was put off for the last step of sculpting cuz it needed to wrap around the pedestal. The pedestal was made in several separate parts apart from the body and he was superglued on top of it. I then did the tail and once all was said and done, I sprayed him with some "Make it Last" sealant from Krylon and he was done.

Well boy that was fun! I love how it turned out! It wasn't as easy as it sounds though, I dealt with a lot of things like cracks and stuff and his eagle arm did snap off at one point when I was picking it up and it hit my alarm clock. Superglue did the trick though and it was back on in a jiffy but I do still worry about it snapping off.

Like the picture says, this is not for sale, but I would like you guys to tell me how much you would pay for one if it were up for bidding on eBay. I am thinking of making more similar sculpts in the near future and if they go for a lot I'll keep doing it and might open commissions to certain people someday if all goes as planned. Finding a job will be tough this summer but if I can't find one or cant' find a good one at least, this is probably gonna take up a good part of my vacation...

And in case anyone is wondering, I used this image for reference:

I've always wondered what he was doing, saying, or acting like before he was turning into stone for the first time? To me, it looks like he was singing.

Most Epic! I could see something like this in a garden! you asked how much people would pay for something like this, and I would say around $80-$120

Well sadly I'd have to sell this guy for about $400. I worked too hard on him and took too long for him to be that cheap.
