Starswirl the Bearded

Now I didn't come with this character or his name, but since we haven't still been shown a pic of Starswirl, I figured I'd make my own version and I am including him in my upcoming fanfiction, "Age of the Alicorns: Chaos Rising".

Here is a brief description of the character:

Starswirl the Bearded is one of the most famed pony magicians of all time. He studied the powers of unicorn magic extensively as a child and his powers grew at a faster rate as he got older. He made a vow to pass on his wisdom and gained the ability of longevity. He would age longer than any pony and live for thousands of years like an alicorn. His first student was Clover the Clever, whom he reared before Equestria was founded. Starswirl grew up learning that true magic comes from harmony and love, but true magic seemed dead in his world as all three pony tribes were turning against each other. Regardless of all the negativity, he continued to teach Clover the importance of love and Clover was able to overcome the devilish 'windigo' spirits and save all three tribes from the results of their hate. As a result, the tribes were finally united in harmony and ponies have been at peace ever since. Starswirl and Clover have also saved Equestria on several occasions using the power of the Elements of Harmony. The last time they used it though, so much power was needed, that they no longer were connected to the Elements so the Elements were hidden away for centuries in case any evil beings ever sought to use them against ponykind. Today, Starswirl continues to teach young unicorns and alicorns in the royal palace including Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Clover used to teach with him, but now lives as a hermit out near the eastern sea.

Starswirl has always been a very kind and generous unicorn, willing to help anypony. Due to his longevity, he finds time to do anything and always uses his time wisely to teach others and help save Equestria using his vast knowledge of pony magic. Although he knows some of the most powerful spells of all, he never uses his magic for evil intentions. Upon first learning his magic as a child, he was clumsy with it just like all other unicorns when they start out, but he learned faster than most do and got better with each day he practiced making him the most capable. His powers are so great that even some alicorns cannot outdo him. Even King Solmidas and Queen Chernalia have learned some spells from him. Having been around for several millenia, he knows so much and can recite whole books. He is also an artist by hobby and plays several instruments. Although he no longer has control over the Elements of Harmony, he will soon find that his two most important students will be destined to use them next to save Equestria from eternal chaos.

It is said that the bells on his robe and hat are magical bells that when rung will empower him.

Notice I don't tell a whole lot about the 'accomplishments' that he and Clover made using the Elements. Well part of that will be told later on in the story and ***SPOILER ALERT*** it has a bit of a connection with Discord.

Designing him wasn't too hard as I already had the design for his outfit. Giving him a color for his coat was sorta tough but that shade of blue looked good enough to me. A gradient in the beard looked like a good option as well. And of course what is any wizard without some glasses? :3

Fun fact: I was inspired by Gandalf from the Lord of the Rings with him.

For his voice..........it would be either Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Peter Cullen, Christopher Lee, or some other awesome old guy with an epic voice.
