that I made out of the kindness of my heart in my free time when I should be doing homework...

But seriously, PixelKitties is such a sweet person and a wonderful friend! I was so overjoyed when she came to me, of all people in the world, asking me if I wanted to take part in the production of a calendar being made to help raise money for charity. So as a token of my gratitude, I decided to make this pic.

The whole theme behind this pic is computer mice because, just like her, I also use a mouse to make my art rather than a graphics pen and tablet. I mean I have used a pen before many times but only when making something in Paint Tool Sai or if I prefer to make a digital sketch rather than a traditional one. But my tablet and Sai seem to hate each other now so I have been using my mouse to do all my digital art for the past few months and I must say I have not lost my touch. In fact, I've actually gotten better! And of course, everything in this pic was done without a pen, the only thing close enough was using a pencil and ink pen to make the traditional sketch, but after that, everything was done with a mouse. Even that background and the "WHEN YOU'VE GOT MICE?!" text were done with a mouse and are really a bunch of circles and shapes with some trimming done which is essentially what Pixel's art comprises of. See? We're more alike than I ever thought!

So yeah, this is one of my best pieces I've done so far and I did it all in the name of friendship because friendship is magic! Thank you so much for being an awesome friend Pixel and I hope to see you soon at a convention or something!
