Well I've done what I don't think a lot of people in this fandom have done yet: I took a Spike figure and I made him stand on two legs!
A lot of resculpting was done to this guy but first I had to separate his head, body, tail, and all four legs from each other with an exacto knife and then I drilled holes in them with my dremel and took small nips that I cut off of a used kit rack I got with one of my KRE-Os and glued the parts together with those nibs excluding the front legs. I then took Apoxie Sculpt and spread it around him and sculpted his belly and back and everything else to cover the spaces between his body parts. I then fashioned some new arms and after they hardened, I took more fresh Apoxie and pasted them onto his body. Once everything was dry again, I sanded around it and then coated him with flat black Testors paint everywhere except his eyes and teeth and then used Apple Barrel acrylics to color him. Lastly, I sealed him with Mod Podge.
My cousin was the one who got me to do this and although he isn't a brony, he is a toy customizer also and helped me with this. He did some of the sanding and advised me to coat him with Testors before painting the colors. Looks like everything worked out pretty well too! Only problem is that he has a problem standing straight and leans backwards but at least his tail keeps him from falling all the way down. I'll be more careful next time.
Well I sure do love how this turned out and if I make anymore in the near future, I'll be sure to put them on eBay so stay tuned for more!
