Like a lot of folks seem to have been doing lately, I've gotten around to one of those art summary thingies and although this is one of my better years, I have to say I've gotten way better at drawing not just ponies, but more!
I started this year off with some little ask blog answers for my ponysona on a regular basis but wasn't totally attached to my newly developed style entirely just yet. I was still using the regular lineart system I had used before with just a 5px line in MS Paint and standard scale for each image.
At this time I had broken away from the small lineart method and started making the images much bigger (between 2000 and 3000 pixels wide) and having thicker lines. That purple explosion BG has been reused and recolored several times and I was practicing more with backgrounds.
Now very attached to my new style, I started making a bunch of random OCs as gifts for some well-known bronies and even printed out some Apple Bloom fanart to give to Michelle Creber at Cloudsdale Congress! This pic was made after she came up with "Pastriotic" at said convention.
Utilizing my new style I started to make more dynamic poses and experimented with various expressions. This pic, being one of my favs, was more complicated than usual.
Not much had changed but I improved with my cute style and continued to draw diabeetus-inducing art.
Although I had just gotten into doing commissions, I was still able to do some canon pony fanart. I tried a new character this time from Equestria Girls, Sunset Shimmer.
I developed my own way of drawing pony butts and was getting much better with backgrounds.
Having settled down from all the BronyCon hype, I tried something new and started drawing anthro ponies. They didn't look too great at first but I got better as time went on.
One of the cutest Pinkie pics I've ever drawn IMO and a big improvement in my style. Also figured out a way to make the eyelashes look better.
Oh hey look, some non-pony art! It was about time I got used to making something different for a change. Shown here are Wander and Sylvia from the hit new cartoon "Wander Over Yonder"
Not just non-pony, but original! I finally revealed my new OC, Emi Hartman, and for the first time in forever drew a human character and developed my own style of drawing human faces!
My first humanized pony, and who'd have thought it would have been this naughty!
Of course certain lines were not crossed and I still kept the innocent cute feel making it just your regular sexy pinup and I plan to keep it that way.
Well there you have it. I've sure improved throughout this year and I'm learning more and more as I go!
